DESCRIPTION
A richly appointed vintage Persian Sarouk-style hallway runner, hand-knotted in dense wool pile on a cotton foundation with lustrous cotton fringe ends. The deep crimson field is animated by a repeating register of vase motifs, palmette medallions, and lush botanical sprays rendered in navy, ivory, sage, gold, and rose — hallmarks of the classic Sarouk and Kashan weaving traditions of central Iran. A multi-band border of scrolling floral arabesques in navy and ivory frames the field with characteristic elegance. The runner presents in excellent vintage condition, retaining strong pile height, vivid color saturation, and sharp pattern definition throughout its full length.

The runner displays very good to excellent vintage condition with dense, even wool pile showing minimal wear across the field and border. Cotton fringe at both ends shows light fraying consistent with age and use, and the cotton foundation remains structurally sound. No visible repairs, staining, or significant color loss were detected; overall, this rug presents exceptionally well for its estimated age.
