DESCRIPTION
A commanding Rococo Revival dining table presenting an extraordinarily rich brecciated marble top — most likely Italian Breccia Pernice — displaying dramatic rust, umber, charcoal, and cream fracture patterns polished to a deep, glassy finish. The substantial walnut base is profusely carved with acanthus scrollwork, cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, and a distinctive carved central finial stretcher that anchors the four-leg pedestal cluster — a hallmark of high-style Rococo Revival craftsmanship from the 1880–1920 period. The apron features egg-and-dart molding and continuous foliate relief carving of exceptional depth and confidence, consistent with continental European or high-quality American revival workshop production. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a large-scale, marble-topped formal dining table of this decorative ambition at private-sale pricing.

CONDITION REPORT
The marble top is in overall good to very good condition with natural breccia fracture lines consistent with the stone's character and no apparent losses or repairs to the stone surface itself; however, the marble top appears slightly oversized or imperfectly fitted to the wooden base, suggesting the top and base may not be original companions. The carved walnut base shows finish inconsistencies — areas of lighter, stripped wood are visible on the apron — indicating past refinishing or partial restoration, and minor surface wear is consistent with age and use.
